Fenced in big and small dog park area. Un leashed in fenced area, and some trails around the park. Lots of trees and tables. There are plastic poop bags, but no water, so you must bring your own. Location: Rt. 184.

Directions: Off 395N Exit 80 East (Rte 82) towards downtown Norwich end of exit take a right and go about a mile till you see CVS (on left) turn left at the light there just past CVS. Park is less than a mile on your right

A large fenced in open area that dogs can go off leash. There is a small bench to sit while the dogs play. Non-aggressive dogs of all sizes and ages welcome. Location: It is located up the hill next to the Richmond dog pound at 51 Buttonwoods Road.

Great hiking trails with water for dogs. Amazing trails and dogs off leash are very welcome. Obviously standards apply…pick up after dog or cover it in woods. Location: Old School House RD.

There is an enforced leash law in Branford so be careful as this is NOT a town recognized dog park. They usually leave you alone but the partial fenced part is a kids softball field so if there is a game it may be an issue. That is an actual pond but watch out for the swans they will chase your dog Field w/pond-Wooded trails, swimming pond, trails, lots of friendly dogs and people. Leash dog on the way to the field. This is a very nice place to take your dog, it has trails which are marked, there are several routes to take. Also a semi-fenced in field. I felt comfortable enough to let my dog go w/o a leash. I would bring water, and you also must bring a leash. I did not feel comfortable letting my dog swim in the pond, as it was very ‘pond like’. It was a very nice park overall. It took us about 40 minutes to circle around once. Location: I95N to exit 56. Make right follow to stop sign. Make right on to Rt.146. Follow 146 quite a ways, very twisty turny, you will have to make a hard left to keep following 146, veer right @ fork, there will be a golf course, Young Park will be on your right, entrance is on right.

Its Just a very small park, it was made for kids, there is a slide, a VERY tiny jungle gym and 2 little bouncer things, but anyways most people on our street just let the dogs loose, but it’s entirely gated in and great for dogs 🙂

Dog park in Newport, RI. Location: The City of Newport’s off-leash park is located on Connell Highway at the base of the Pell Bridge (directly across the street from the Newport Playhouse). The park is free and open to the public from 6AM to 9PM. All dogs over 6 months of age must be licensed.

Double entry fence with two very large fenced in fields, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. There are poop bags, benches, and shade, but no water. The park closes at sunset. Location: Asylum Avenue. Directions: Take a left on Asylum Avenue from Buttonwoods Avenue. Go to the end (residential area). You will see a big sign ‘Warwick City Park.’ Turn into the parking lot and take the main road down a while. Fenced in dog park is on the right.

About 3/4 acre fenced in area. Double gated entry. Adjacent basketball courts are lit, so there is some light for night time use. No other amenities now, but we are working on raising money for shade, benches, dispensers, etc. Location: Gano Street, entry from Power Street or Fremont Street.

Nice hiking trails. Located off route 84 to tunnel road and left onto valley Falls Rd.

The permanent metal fence that is safe for dogs of all sizes with double gate entrance. Location: Behind Adult Day Care Center on Short Beech Road Branford. 421 Shore Drive officially. Directions: Look for Short Beach on Map Quest, Then 421 Shore Drive.

With extraordinary water views and five miles of trails (on which under-control dogs are most welcome!) through unspoiled forest and salt-marshes to be discovered at its coastal nature preserve, the Lloyd Center offers a variety of recreational and educational opportunities for families, birders, school-children, hikers, scientists and nature enthusiasts of all ages. Location: 430 Potomska Road. Directions: From Route I-195, take Exit 12 or 12A (one exit west of intersection with Route 140). Turn right at end of Exit ramp and go through three sets of lights to Route 6. Cross Route 6 and, after a half mile, bear left onto Chase Road. Go 3.5 miles to its end (STOP-sign) and turn right onto Russells Mills Road. Go nearly a mile and turn left, just before Davoll’s General Store, onto Rock O’ Dundee Road. Go nearly a mile and turn right onto Potomska Road. The entrance to the Center, at No. 430, is about 1.7 miles down on the right.
