Miami Beach’s own dog beach was voted #1 dog park in the metro-Miami area by a public poll (Curbed Magazine). Proof of current vaccination required. The bark beach sits adjacent to the eight-block oceanfront natural area of North Shore Open Space Park (also pet friendly for dogs on leashes) with jogging trails, exercise stations and picnic pavilions. The adjoining North Shore is a charming neighborhood filled with tropical mid-century modern buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places – which provides a great place to dry off with an evening stroll after your swim. A great place to explore old Miami Beach the way if used to be (without the hustle and bustle of South Beach). There are also a few great restaurants nearby with pet-friendly outdoor seating – our favorite is Burgers and Shakes at Collins and 74th Street.
