Directions: hwy 13 to joaquin miller road, turn left on sanborn drive, go past ranger station, dog park is on your left.

5 acre area, fenced, water nearby, paid parking meters, restrooms. No water at the site, but a hose located 50′ away to fill water jugs. Restrooms also 50′ away. Location: Eighth Street, Alameda, California, USA. Directions: From Oakland, through Webster Street Tube down Webster. Left at Encinal, right at 8th St. Parking metered lot near tennis courts. Dog run area is visible from the roadway.

Water, area for small dogs (dogs under 30 pounds), and restrooms. Location: Located on Westline Drive in Alameda. The Park is next to the Tennis Courts. The view includes the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges, the city skyline, the Oakland Estuary, and facing the other direction you can see the Mormon Temple in the Oakland hills. Location: 8th & Westline Drive at Crown Beach. Directions.

Dog Park within Ceasar Chavez park. Multi-acre off-leash area for dogs in the middle of the park. Location: University near Berkeley Marina. Directions: Take University Ave toward the bay. At the ‘t’ in the road, make a right. Follow the street past the hotel on the left and around the corner. Park on the right. Dog must remain on leash until you reach the dog park area in the center of the park. Clearly marked with signs.

Highway 13 to (east) Joaquin Miller Road, right on Skyline Blvd for four miles to the Skyline Gate.

Highway 24, North on Fish Ranch Road, right on Grizzly Peak, North to South Park Drive for a mile to Big Springs Trail.

Take 580 to the Keller exit (from either direction), go east on Keller, turn left on Campus and turn immediately right on Canyon Oaks Drive and turn left, go to the end of the parking lot, and there is the trail head.

Point Isabel Dog Owners organized the off leash dog park on 23 acres along the San Francisco Bay over twenty years ago. The park is managed and maintained by East Bay Regional Park District with the assistance of PIDO. There are restrooms, water stations with hose for rinsing the swimming dogs, a doggie wash building, many waste baskets and a snack bar. The third sunday of each month, PIDO holds a ‘Clean UP’ day distributing litter bags to encourage visitors to pick up after their dog. Bulletin boards in two areas post PIDO notices, postings for lost and found dogs, dogs needing owners and housing for dog owners along with the park rules. PIDO produces a quartly newsletter and pays for the plastic bags that are provided for pooper pick up. Over one million visitors enjoy the spectacular views while their canine friends release their energy swimming and socializing off leash. Dogs must be in voice control at all times and aggressive behavior is not tolerated. A telephone is permanently located in the western end of the parking lot to notify park police if needed.

Point Isabel Regional Shoreline.

Large off-leash area, limited grass (mostly brush, dirt and some rocky areas). 70 acre+ area, some picnic tables, limited water outlets and restrooms (please bring a water bottle on hot days). Adjacent to Oakland Airport. Lots of ground squirrels and trees. Perfect place for sniffy noses and very safe too! Potty bags available at entrance. Location: Neptune Dr. Directions: Take the Marina exit off of the 880, and go west towards the Marina. Make a right onto Doolittle and a left at Williams. Go to the end and make a right (my doggie brain thinks it is called Neptune Dr.). Follow to the end. The entrance is on the west side. Use a leash for the first 500 feet, them, let ’em roam!

Highway 24, exit Orinda, go North on camino Pablo, right on Bear Creek Rd. to Briones Rd.

277 acre preserve for the extremely rare Alameda manzanita. Interstate 80, exit San Pablo Dam Rd., South to Castro Ranch Rd., left on Castro Ranch, left at Conestoga Way, left on Carriage Drive, right on Coach Drive. Park at the end of Coach.

Interstate 80, South to McBryde, left on McBryde Ave, to the entrance.

Marina and Fairway. It is just south of the channel bridge as you go along the shoreline next to the golf course. Park at the south end of Marina Park and walk over the bridge and you will find it.

Daily 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Unfenced; dogs must be under firm voice control.
