Campground’ Rental – Private Dog Park. Offers the rental of a large outdoor exercise yard, securely fenced and surfaced with a clean layer of woodchip. Fresh water, shade/rain structures and waste bins are all provided-you bring the fun! Reservations are required. Location: 5810 Paradise Drive. Directions: From 101 North, Exit Tamalpias Drive. Take first right on Tamalpias Drive. Take first right on Paradise Drive, Camp K-9 will be on your left after the car dealerships. From 101 South, Take Tamalpais Drive/Paradise Drive exit. Turn LEFT onto Tamalpias Drive. Turn Right onto Paradise Drive, Camp K-9 will be on your left after the car dealerships.

Dog Park within Ceasar Chavez park. Multi-acre off-leash area for dogs in the middle of the park. Location: University near Berkeley Marina. Directions: Take University Ave toward the bay. At the ‘t’ in the road, make a right. Follow the street past the hotel on the left and around the corner. Park on the right. Dog must remain on leash until you reach the dog park area in the center of the park. Clearly marked with signs.

Point Isabel Dog Owners organized the off leash dog park on 23 acres along the San Francisco Bay over twenty years ago. The park is managed and maintained by East Bay Regional Park District with the assistance of PIDO. There are restrooms, water stations with hose for rinsing the swimming dogs, a doggie wash building, many waste baskets and a snack bar. The third sunday of each month, PIDO holds a ‘Clean UP’ day distributing litter bags to encourage visitors to pick up after their dog. Bulletin boards in two areas post PIDO notices, postings for lost and found dogs, dogs needing owners and housing for dog owners along with the park rules. PIDO produces a quartly newsletter and pays for the plastic bags that are provided for pooper pick up. Over one million visitors enjoy the spectacular views while their canine friends release their energy swimming and socializing off leash. Dogs must be in voice control at all times and aggressive behavior is not tolerated. A telephone is permanently located in the western end of the parking lot to notify park police if needed.

Blair and Dracena

Small Park with fencing. Good park. There are separate areas for big dogs and little dogs, poop bags, water, picnic tables and some agility toys. Location: Foster City Blvd. Directions: From S.F. take 101 South to the Hillsdale exit. Go east on Hillsdale Blvd. until Foster City Blvd. then turn right. Park is on the right at the corner of Foster City Blvd. and Bounty.

Large off-leash area, limited grass (mostly brush, dirt and some rocky areas). 70 acre+ area, some picnic tables, limited water outlets and restrooms (please bring a water bottle on hot days). Adjacent to Oakland Airport. Lots of ground squirrels and trees. Perfect place for sniffy noses and very safe too! Potty bags available at entrance. Location: Neptune Dr. Directions: Take the Marina exit off of the 880, and go west towards the Marina. Make a right onto Doolittle and a left at Williams. Go to the end and make a right (my doggie brain thinks it is called Neptune Dr.). Follow to the end. The entrance is on the west side. Use a leash for the first 500 feet, them, let ’em roam!

Leashless under voice control. Highway 1 to Olema-Bolinas Rd, West on Mesa Rd., left on Overlook Dr, right on Elm Rd. to the end.

Marina and Fairway. It is just south of the channel bridge as you go along the shoreline next to the golf course. Park at the south end of Marina Park and walk over the bridge and you will find it.

Boothbay Avenue and Edgewater Lane

A virtually abandoned beach with white sand, driftwood and complete privacy and freedom. This location is a prize spot and is frequented by the occassional nudist. There may be two or three people there,…probably not. Take a right turn onto Mesa, at the stop sign under the gum trees, just before entering Bolinas. Follow the road about two miles, until you drive over a roller coaster hill. At the point whwere it takes a sharp right turn, park in the area inside the cattle grate and walk down the long drive. After the first building on your left, cut at 45 degrees to the left, over the slats in the fence and keep going diagonally to the dirt track….head for the sloping tree clump on the horizon to the left. There’s a path there, or follow the trail/road along a bit firther for the ‘horse’ trail.
