Gonzales Beach is a large beach that circles Gonzales Bay in the south-eastern section of Victoria. Dogs are allowed on Gonzales Beach 24 hours a day except from June 1 to August 31 when they are not allowed on the beach at all. Dogs must be under control at all times, must be cleaned up after and must be on-leash whenever they are outside of the off-leash area.

We offer numerous training options. These include our group sessions, individual training, consultations, board & train and Training DVD options.

When it comes to off leash parks in Victoria, this is by far the most popular, especially when the sun shines. You’ll meet every breed and most are very social.

Your furry friend is their top priority, and he/she will be picked up and safely transported for a hike in nature with up to 3 compatible buddies, lots of play, sniffing, swimming, and basic obedience reinforcement. This 11.8 hectare parcel of land is owned by the University of Victoria. It is being reserved for future development of the University, but over recent years it has acted informally as a well known off leash dog park. Other current uses include soil storage and processing by the Facilities Management Department and a forest biology research area. The parcel mainly consists of open field, with remnants of a former orchard. There is fencing around 98% of the park with a couple of openings down into Mystic Vale Hot and dry in summer – bring water Extremely muddy in winter, the dogs seem to love it but you’ll need gumboots. Waste bins are supplied by the university.

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel and Marine Resort welcomes two dogs under 30 lbs for an additional fee of $30 per dog, per night. Six rooms are dog friendly.

Birds of a Feather B & B is pet friendly! They welcome a maximum of three dogs per guest room for an additional $35 CAD per dog, per night.
