Within the organization’s scope and reach, MSRH is dedicated to rescuing every abandoned or lost Miniature Schnauzer that we can and migrating them to a loving forever home.  In the interim period, between rescue and adoption, our all-volunteer team provides temporary homes, in a safe and loving environment, while we search for an adoptive home that is the right match for each Schnauzer.  We never forget that most adopters see only a snapshot of our overall organization.  As such, we strive to ensure a perfect experience to give that snapshot exceptional clarity.  Every perfect adoption experience requires a network of committed volunteers, veterinarians, partners, loving adoptive families and friends who pay the love forward with gifts of time, talent and treasure.  We want every Schnauzer to have a home.  At MSRH, we make it happen….one adoption at a time!

We love them all but we are limited at times to what our foster homes are experienced with. We consist of volunteer families and individuals in the U.S., who foster in our homes. Schnauzer Paws Rescue , based in Ware, Massachusetts has volunteers throughout the New England area that finds homes for rescue and owner turn-in miniature (and occasionally standard) Schnauzers and Schnauzer mixes. We are not-for-profit which means that all donations go towards the care of our dogs. All dogs will be spay/neutered, brought up to date on shots, screened for heartworm and intestinal parasites and the elimination thereof, and have had their teeth cleaned if needed. They are groomed and bathed when we receive them. As we are a rescue group we do not typically have large groups of dogs available at any one time. Our dogs are carefully matched to adoption applicants. Although we place our dogs throughout New England, we do not ship our rescues. After the difficult experiences many of our dogs have experienced, we prefer not to have them suffer the trauma of a long journey. We receive dogs for their owners for various reasons, i.e., divorce, death, moving, lack of time, neglect. We also occasionally receive dogs from shelters that were dropped off there, or picked up as a stray. The dog’s ages vary, but the majority are middle age. We do it for the love of the breed and that we find it very rewarding.

We are a small non-profit organization devoted to rescueing and rehoming schnauzers. We make every attempt to find them a permanent home so they will never be displaced again. We also work with other Rescue groups and Shelters to insure that animals are not euthanized due to limited space.

NJSRN is a group-run rescue and rehoming service for Miniature Schnauzers and Schnauzer mixes. Our first rescue was placed in 1997. More than 10 years and nearly 1,600 dogs later, NJSRN is still going strong! We are approved by the American Miniature Schnauzer Club, and adhere to the AMSC’s Code of Ethics for Rescue Groups. Why do we do it? For the dogs!

In addition to our rescue mission, we work as advocates for animal welfare by educating the public about issues such as: Proper training techniques and important health concerns – read about the dangers of heartworm in the endearing story of Otto, our first heartworm positive dog. Preventing pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering. Stopping the mistreatment of animals at puppy mills. Keeping pets secure so they are not lost, stolen or injured

Schnauzer Rescue of Texas was founded on the principle that responsible rescue, in the long-term, finds homes for the largest number of lost, neglected and abandoned Schnauzers. Our committed volunteers work cooperatively to maintain a foster family network where these Schnauzers learn what it means to have a dog’s life; what it means to ‘own’ a family; and what it means to live life with love. Our adopters are carefully screened and are chosen because they share our vision. In short, Schnauzer Rescue of Texas exists for the sole purpose of ensuring that the Schnauzers we assist make it to their forever, and perfect, home!

POMH Rescue is a breed-specific rescue for Schnauzers and their mixes.
