If you want your pup socialized, to play with other dogs, and enjoy a ton of human affection, then Camp Bow Wow is the place to bring them.
At Doggie Pooh Services we offer group walks and one on one walks, puppy visits and over nights. Group Walks are usually 2 hours long, 30 minutes to pick up the pups, 1 hour on the trail, 30 minutes to drop them all back at home. One on one walks can be of any length or duration depending on your requirement. When your furry friend comes to have an over night at my house they stay in my home with me and my family. Your furry friend is treated to walks and unlimited love and affection from myself and my family. Your pup will feel right at home here!
An alternative to traditional dog walking and pet sitting. At DogRunnin we specialize in helping you and your dog maintain an exercise routine that will enable your family to experience peace of mind as your dog experiences both mental & physical relief. Proper exercise for your dog will not only improve the quality of their physical health; curbing weight gain, improving muscle tone and addressing hyper activity, it can also improve the quality of the mental health; addressing behavioral issues, relieving stress and anxiety, or general boredom. Our services and packages enable your family to enjoy your vacation with your dog along.
through our foster care program we adopted out many dogs
Point Pleasant Park is one of Halifax Regional Municipality’s great civic spaces. It is the largest forested park on the Halifax peninsula and offers fine views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is also one of about 7 off leash parks for dogs in the HRM – and the oldest dog park in Halifax. There is an off leash part and a ‘no-dogs at all after 10am’ part, so consult the well marked signage inside the park.
Seaview Memorial Park is a completely fenced-in, dog-friendly park. The majority of the park is off-leash and, because it’s completely fenced in, a great place to take Fido to play fetch on a sunny afternoon. It is something of a ‘dog haven’ and is almost always full of friendly canines and their doting owners (although I recomment a post-dinner visit, as the park seems to be at it’s prime around 6pm). There is a section at the beginning of the park that is on-leash only, and there are rarely dogs spending time in that area, so it is friendly to non-dog owners as well! The rules are quite simple: you must have a leash with you, you must clean up after your pet, and your pet must come when called. Patrons are very good about following these rules; the park is generally very clean and safe. The park is not designed to be a ‘dog park’ but is locally-labelled as so, and has gained notoriety as a dog park. The park sits beneath the MacKay Bridge and lines the Halifax Harbor, so the scenery is beautiful (albeit a little chilly when the wind is up) for a stroll around the gravel walking path. There are also picnic tables setup (in both the on-leash and off-leash areas) for you to enjoy a picnic, or some leisurely reading!
