A Shelter Friend is made up of a small group of volunteers giving pets a second chance on life. A Shelter Friend, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization working with the Bladen County Animal shelter in southeastern North Carolina, rescue groups and like-minded individuals, to network, facilitate adoptions and provide support for rescue efforts.
