GPA is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to assisting pets who are victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. GPA’s areas of focus are: 1) Rescuing dogs and cats from dangerous and unhealthy situations, including those from shelters with high euthanization rates; 2) providing rescued animals with medical care, rehabilitation and foster homes until loving adoptive homes can be found; 3) educating the general public about humane and responsible care of their pets; and 4) advocating at all levels of government for reasonable and enforceable public policy that provides for more humane treatment of pets.
