We were started by a Maude Schiffley in 1957. After a number of sites, we now have our own adoption center. I moved here from Pittsburgh, Pa. 12 years ago. Appalled by the number of animals just roaming the streets. Started out as a volunteer and now am program manager. Not only do we adopt animals, we educate people on the proper care and treatment of them. I do what I do because I love animals and want to make Orangeburg County a better place for companion animals.
