P.A.W.S. (Pound Animals Worth Saving)
RescuesMost of us once was or still are Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (pound) volunteers. We use to take a few dogs to adoption events where there was many other rescue groups all no-kill, since we were a kill shelter we convinced management to allow us to take many dogs (like 20 – 25) to the park to get them adopted, then we brought back the money. This event was for the pound dogs only (no competition) and we did very well. After a couple years management convinced me to become a rescue. Today we have over 100 volunteers and fosters.
