Rescued Paws is located on a 60 acre hobby farm near Braham, MN. Ken and Tracy Lundahl started Rescued Paws in December of 2006. Their first two dogs , 16 years ago, were rottweilers and they have been dedicated to the breed ever since. After their girls, Molly and Sydney passed away, they wanted to give other rotties in need a chance at getting a new loving home. Some dogs receive sanctuary at Rescued Paws and some are put up for adoption. Priority is given to taking in seniors, especially those 10 and over, those with terminal illnesses, and dogs in severely neglected situations. These are the dogs that people rarely want, but are still so deserving of life and love. Dogs are here at our facility (home and kennel) or sometimes in foster care if we have them available. Dogs that are adoptable are placed with loving forever families. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters and animal controls where we can help reduce the euthanasia rates at these places. We also work with families that need to re-home their dog and we post the dog on our site and help them find a new home while still staying with the family until that happens. We also on occasion will take in a dog or dogs when a family is in a crisis situation and can get their dog back after they are on their feet again. There is no charge, but if they can help with the dog’s expenses, that is great.
